Every life is worth fighting for.
Our Mission
To provide a ladder to a successful life, to everyone in need.
Starting with backpacks of supplies, to bicycles with mini campers, and finally... tiny house communities; our 3 phase program walks participants through a step by step reinvention process and inspires them to discover and employ their passion. Our mentors then provide tools, skill classes and make sure members get connected with the community support they need to succeed in reinventing their life.
3 Pillars of Operation Ride Home
Our 3 Pillars are Identity, Community, and Purpose.
Identity- We guide our participants along the path of discovering their code of honor, asking themselves who the WANT to be, NOT who they used to be. This is the begining of rebuilding a solid self image and the confidence that change is possible.
Community- According to Dr. Maslow, community support is an essential ingredient to self actualization, or as we see it- a life worth living!
Purpose- Viktor Fankl describes his concentration camp conclusions in an excellent book called "Man's Search for Meaning", and gives a name to our approach to mental health treatment: Logotherapy. Helping our community members discover purpose in life- and enabling them to pursue it, changes everything!

Identity
One of our first steps is to help our program members carve out their personal code of honor, asking themselves not who they are- but rather who they want to be. As opposed to a recovery program, Operation Ride Home encourages pursuet of a new and improved self concept. We practice moving forward, instead of back.
Community
A supportive community is an essential part of a fulfilling and productive life. Our communities provide many different kinds of support and educational classes designed to meet every need of longterm reintegration for our members.
Purpose
We believe purpose makes life worth living! Our program puts the power back in the hand of our participants to find their passion in life and give back to the community in a meaningful way.
"Social Usefulness" does not equivalate True Value. With a little assistance, our forgotten Americans can become valued members of society once again.
